I’m participating in Central Union Mission’s A Seat at the Table to help care for those in our area who are experiencing homelessness and poverty. I believe everyone deserves “a seat at the table.” Our seats may be different, and the way we get to the table may be different, but we all have equal dignity and worth and an equal call to love our neighbors as we love ourselves.

Central Union Mission is the oldest private social service agency in Washington, D.C. It provides emergency food and shelter for men, sponsors education and employment programs, distributes free food and education to families and senior citizens and operates a summer camp for children.
